The BKSTS/CEA all industry certification scheme

The scheme is designed to set out a framework of basic projection standards in a manner that is acceptable to both the major exhibitors and independent cinema operators. It will begin from January 2007.

Companies and individuals are free to continue to use their own training programmes. Individuals are assessed throughout their training and once they have reached the standards set out in the scheme, they will be awarded a certificate of competence.

The documents available to download set out the criteria for certification as a competent projectionist, and give background information about why and how this scheme has been developed.
